Our 'Guardian Angels'
We'd like to recognize all the generous contributors who have helped us to remain on air. We have had many contributors to Always Country, but some have chosen to remain behind the scenes and we thank them the same as we do for the folks who have chosen to make themselves known to us and to you. We owe you all a debt of gratitude. THANK YOU!
Betty, Coventry England
My name is Betty and I have been very happily married for 34 years to Mick. We have two sons, Martin aged 32 and Robert aged 30, both of whom have yet to leave home. It sure will be quiet here when that happens. We live in Coventry, England.
I play keyboards and Mick plays drums. We have been performing since 1972 at clubs and venues in England, playing mostly country music with close harmony. It was the music which brought us together as I used to play pub piano and he used to come in with his friends and join in the singalongs.
I am pianist for The Meridians Dance Orchestra based in Coventry, England and we play for dances with Glen Miller and various other big band music - not my favourite but it is music and beggars can't be choosers (as we in England say)'
I also run the Wyken Male Voice Choir which only has 12 members now but we entertain residents in local residential homes. All our proceeds go to the Multiple Sclerosis charity and the Air Ambulance which do a tremendous job.
Our dog is called Jake, a labrador-lurcher, who is 11 years old. I was so sorry to read about Brandon and know you must miss him.
I wish all my friends at Always Country the
very best of health, wealth and happiness. Love to you all
Betty
