Congratulations to Deby Kelley from all of us at Always Country on winning the FAVORITE FEMALE ARTIST HORIZON AWARD 2008 ROCKIN RODEO RADIO SHOW!
I want to give a BIG thank you to all that took the time to vote for me. I was announced the winner of the Favorite Female Artist for the Rockin Rodeo Horizon Award. It is very conforting to know that there are Radio stations out here like Always Country that promote the Indie Artist like myself. I truely want to thank DJ Gramps for the showcases that he put on, so that my music would reach out to the many different countries that listen to Always Country Radio. Also to the staff of Always Country for supporting me as well. You the listeners are the most impotant, if it weren't for you supporting Always Country Radio and giving them the chance to play Indie Artist there would not be any new artist or music coming your way. I hope you all continue to like my music and look for my new album coming out, the end of the year. Thanks again and God Bless you all
Kindest regards Deby Kelley

December 2007

To all of our listeners and friends,
we at Always Country wish you a Happy Holidays and Best Wishes for the New Year. It hasn't been an easy year, but the one constant has been you our listeners. You give us a gift each day by listening and we hope that throughout the year we've been able to return the gift with our music.

This coming February Always Country will be four years old and that's hard to believe. It's all because of you, for without you Always Country is nothing. We thank you from the bottom of our hearts. Enjoy the holidays, have fun with family and friends, make memories with your children, but most of all be safe.

There is no place like home for the holidays.

Best Wishes,
Your Always Country Family

07/13/2007 ALWAYS COUNTRY REMAINS ON AIR
A last minute meeting with SoundExchange before members of Congress resulted in suspension of the July 15th deadline for the new royalty rates. At this time the current rates will remain in effect as negotiations continue in an an effort to establish fairer payments.

As a result Always Country is pleased to announce that we will be continue playing our great music for now and hopefully for a long, long time. Thank you so much for your patience and loyalty. It's great to be back.

Gramps and the Always Country family

07/12/2007 ALWAYS COUNTRY TO CEASE OPERATIONS
Important Note: Should the Federal Court of Appeals issue a stay order within the next 48 hours please disregard this message.

Dear friends,
It is with deep regret that we are posting this message. Effective midnight (EST) July 14, 2007, at the conclusion of a special Saturday night Gramps Ole’ Opry, Always Country will discontinue webcasting.

With the uncertainty of our financial obligations dating back to Jan 1, 2006 and an unclear understanding of costs moving forward, we are sad to say that the only logical course of action is to close the station. We will continue to keep the web-site available. In addition, our Always Country email addresses will continue to function.

I’m sure that everyone associated with Always Country, both past and present, would say that this has been a rewarding though sometimes difficult experience. We have had the opportunity to meet so many wonderful people from around the world and we thank each and every one of you for that. If we at times could bring a smile to your face or brighten your day with a song, it was worth our efforts.

We hope that once there is a clear direction we will be able to resume operations in the same fashion as we have for the past three years. Namely, bringing you our great variety of country tunes at no cost to you. We will make every effort to return to the air as soon as possible, so please check our web-site now and again for updates.

Happy trails everyone, until we meet again.
Your Always Country Family
June 2007
Web radio broadcasters across the US will hold a "day of silence" on Tuesday, 26 June 2007 in protest at plans to hike royalty payments when music is played online. Always Country will participate!

April 2007
IMPORTANT NOTICE !

Dear Listeners,
We would like to begin by thanking you for your outstanding support. In the past few months the number of you tuning-in on a daily basis has grown dramatically. In fact, grown to the extent we are reaching our server capacity. We're so pleased you enjoy our music and the time you spend with us.

Now we need to ask for your help
We need your support to help thwart the latest ruling of the Royalty Commisson Board [RCB]. By their ruling in early March they have determined to raise the royalty fees of small Internet radio stations, like Always Country, by 140% over the next four years. Affectively, taking us off the air.

Yes, we do ask for donations and we really appreciate your help. However, we want to keep Always Country free of subscriptions and advertising, and we hope you do too.

What can you do to help?
If you are in the USA, please let your representatives know that you object to the ruling of the RCB. And no matter where you live please sign the petition to voice your support of good internet music. We thank you again not only for your support in listening to Always Country but for your help in keeping us on the air.

DJ Cindy met Chris Young
Hey everybody,
As most of you know, I saw Chris Young in concert on Saturday April 14th. Though I didn't get an interview with him, I did get to meet him and chat with him a bit. He said he appreciates all what Always Country has done for him and his fans are the greatest.
During the concert, I had a sign that said Cindy from Always Country. He saw the sign and waved at me. The show was great. He sang his couple hits that are out now and future hits he will be releasing later. He even sang Keith Whitley's Don't Close Your Eyes.
All the fame hasn't changed his attitude. He loves his fans and and he lets them know.If you all want more details, send me an email.

Dear friends. It has come time for me to take my leave from Always Country. It has been a great joy for me over the years and you will be missed. I've grown weary from all the changes and problems. I'm glad to see the station is moving ahead on many of the ideas we'd planned. Thank you all for your support and friendship. Gramps
