Ol'Kjay

Hi folks, My name is Kevin but better known as Ol'Kjay.

For most of my working life I have made it fun. Back in the 60's, yea I'm that old, my love for music drove me into Australia's music scene. As a member of a few bands and eventually a radio DJ all I can say is it was the decade to kill all decades. Ok, I never became a household name but the music industry helped me raise a family, put my daughter through college and gave me a lot of life's satisfactions.

Due to an accident I was somewhat restricted in what I could do so being the positive bloke (Aussie for guy) I am I ventured out and ended up living in Nashville. The full story of how will be published when I have moved to a higher spiritual level.

Anyhow, during that period of my life I fell in love with not only Nashville but what it represented, mainly country music. Up until then I really didn't appreciate the amount of talent that the country music scene had. Entertainers working for tips were so good I threw my guitar in the river. Many of them are now hit makers so I consider myself privileged to see them when they were struggling.

That brings me to Always Country. It reminded me of what it was like to do something you love, not for money or fame, but just because a basic love for a music and a willingness to share it. That is what Always Country is. Just down to earth folks sharing their love for country music and I am so proud to be part of it.
