Hi Always Country Listeners.
I am Ray from Arizona and you can call me DJ Ray. My love of country music started like most of you that’s what my family listened to, but this soon became a fascination for me about history, western history, even more cowboy history.

I grew up in the Northeast but was able to visit Arizona for a few years as a young boy. To me Arizona was still the Wild West and I knew I would live here when I got a little older.

As for being a DJ for Always Country this never really crossed my mind, why would Gramps want me to play music for his fans? Susanne and Gramps had a conversation one afternoon and decided to ask me if I would like to be a DJ for Always Country? (Because of my love for country music), wow what a surprise. What Susanne and Gramps don’t realize is my love of country music is not the only thing that keeps me here listening; it is the love the DJ’s show the fans that brings me back and I am sure many of you feel the same way.

I have been listening to Always Country since late 2002. I’m sure if you where to ask Gramps he could tell you exactly when I started sending him requests. I hope I will be able to continue the tradition and play your requests as well as some of my own favorite songs.
