Just read the message about Always Country ceasing to broadcast on 13 July 2014.

I am saddened beyond words :(

Always Country and all the DJ's have become a household name between my friends, family and me.

I hope to keep in contact with those whom I had the privilege of having communication with on a more personal note.

DJ Ray, DJ Susanne, DJ Big John, DJ Lori and DJ Cindy. You guys were my voice when I needed to broadcast a message, my comfort when I was lonely, the place where I laid my hat. Going to miss ALL of you sooooooooo much!

Thank you for all your unselfish commitments, laughs and good wishes during my stay with Always Country.

And a HUGE thank you to Gramps, although he has now laid his hat at a better place, for making Always Country possible.

God bless and keep all of you save. XXX

Deepest condolences to Gramps family and also the Always country team. I have missed not being able to tune in (computer problems).
It brings but only one thing to say, as George Jones sang, "Who's Gonna Fill Those Shoes" From what I have read and also from what I have heard they are pretty big shoes. I trust you will be able to work out how to continue the station as I cannot imagine no "Always Country"

Hi there, I am REALLY enjoying the music on your site. I listened everyday to your station since I found it about 2 weeks ago. Great job done.
Thank you.

So sorry to hear of Gramps passing. I didn't know the man but certainly knew his 'baby', Always Country. I've been listening for a few years now and drop in most nights for a few hours whilst surfing. The station is unique, no advertising and the DJ's play a really great mix of our favourite music. I do hope it will keep going. It will be sorely missed if not.

[continued from previous message]
My sincere condolences to his family and his Always Country 'family' that meant so much to him.

One thing I know, Gramps wouldn't want this to be a sad occasion, but more a celebration of his achievements, his strong character & values and uniting of his international and rather close 'family' - the listeners, friends and team of Always Country.net.

Have a drink to the man tonight while listening to the dream that is Always Country.net... may he be enjoying a drink with you by the fireside upstairs in a better place without niggling back pains and with Brandon & Cody by his side.

Yours sincerely,
Michael Offe

I just heard the sad news from DJ Cindy re the passing of Gramps... a great friend, mentor, country music fanatic (especially the oldies! lol... don't ever tell him Shania was queen of country... dangerous! lol), and good mate! Not to mention the man with the vision behind Always Country! That said he was always supportive of others on the team being involved and a part of decision making and always wanted them to put their ideas and advise on the table.
After year's of fortune 500 middle management he was very passionate about running his dream (Always Country) with a different style... I think he would be very proud of the current team and DJ's still being here and being 100% capable of continuing his dream of a family station that is 'family', making good country music (and ad free of course!) available to anyone and everyone world wide.
